☺💙  Nick's Personalities

🎈1. Nick is extremely contradictory and self-righteous person😨😨, he despises the elites of West Egg🏘, and will not collude with the riches at East Egg🏠 either. 

🎈2. As the narrator, although Nick believes he is fair and sincere, but in fact,  has always been judging others with personal feelings💔💔.

🎈3. I think the reason that Nick got to know Gatsby and even help him is because Nick is drawn to Gatsby’s 💭idealism💭 – both of them are hypocritical dreamers. 

🎈4. Nick envies how Gatsby pursues his dream of making enough money💸💸 to be with Daisy, yet Nick disgusts the relationship between Gatsby and Daisy even though he is the one who helps👫 Gatsby to meet Daisy again❗❓😩😫. This also proves that Nick is a false and untrustworthy person who only pretends to be kind by helping others.

🎈5.  Nick goes to any lengths necessary to avoid the confidences of others.(It is so TOUGH!!😱)

☺💚  American Dream

    In my view, the American Dream exists in everyone’s heart as a “white lie”. 

🎼🎼In other words, the ♥“Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”♥ in the Declaration of Independence📖 is an “obsessiveness” that everyone unremittingly looks forward to. 

    We should not merely verdict the impacts brought to us by the American Dream, yet we cannot deny that a dialectical way to look at the American Dream will indeed make our life better. 

🌟🌟“White lie” and “obsessiveness” are both positive and will only come in handy when we used correctly.

☺💛 Connection between Nick and American Dream

I think Nick embodies the American Dream I expressed very well!!!!!

⛅⛅“I am one of the few honest people I have ever known”➨ Nick has not given much indication that he is a reliable narrator💢💢.

Honest 😃VS. Hypocritical😤

💫💬His obsessiveness is about becoming a fair and sincere man, but he is a self-righteous person. Of course undeniably, we cannot repudiate the fact that Nick has helped many others. Despite his unilateral way of judging others❌, Nick’s obsessiveness does not produce any other passive influence.✅

⛅⛅"Most of the confidences were unsought—frequently I have feigned sleep, preoccupation, or a hostile levity when I realized by some unmistakable sign that an intimate revelation was quivering on the horizon.”❓❗❓❗




💫💬 “Preoccupation” and “hostile levity” shows that he does everything to hide his true feelings💥 so that others cannot see his 👱real character. 🌟Dream pursuing was another of his obsessions. And that was also the reason of his getting associated with Gatsby.  His obsession leaves him with a profound emptiness😷😷, unable to feel genuine happiness. 👉👉👉👉👉Because he cannot easily believe others, even if he can discern the true intentions of others, he will not let go of his prejudice😑😑. In addition, the unfulfilled dream also filled his heart with emptiness🕮🕮🕮.

🌞In fact, daring to pursuit dreams is rare and commendable✨✨. Nick is the witness of the love between Gatsby and Daisy💑, and the by-stand-viewer of the relationship of Tom and Daisy as husband👱 and wife👰. 🙋He is just like most of ordinary people. After all in reality, few people are able to arbitrarily intervene in the lives of others and be fair with the judgment toward others. ❗❗❗❗❗❗We should take Nick and his obsession in a dialectical way. And obsession does not make Nick losing himself and going toward an evil way.



☺💖  Does Nick achieve the American Dream??

Unfortunately, Nick did not realize the American dream😫😫😫😰. Because he neither became an upright person🙆🙆🙆 in his heart nor dared to pursue his dream🙇🙇🙇. He hid himself under a thick mask💀, unable to achieve true happiness and joy.🍭🍭🍬🍖🍕🍔

☺💜  Change

Nick need to make an individual change, but also, the society need to make a fundamental change in order for them to have a chance. 🎎🎎☁☁

For Nick✒✒✒✒ 

⛈1. Nick should re-examine himself objectively☋ and correctly evaluate others ☆ without being affected by the obsessiveness in his heart.    

⛈2. When contacting or communicating with people, Nick should try to open his heart🌜 and trust others🌛. 

☃☃☃The first thing Nick can do is to change himself. After all, the change of self-character and thinking is the most important factor to promote🚴🚴 a person to develop in a better direction.🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

For Society✒✒✒✒

👤Corruption and 👥strict class division of the whole society have eroded and affected everyone, and they have become unusually indifferent and empty. Society should try to change this trend and become more open, making people as equal as possible---mutual respect. At least this can bring people closer together.

SAME PERSONALITIES

Nick is very similar to the protagonist in my media example👉👉👉they are very empty and unhappy because of the obsession in their hearts. 
     💨Background: 
    ☀The tuner in the movie wants to avoid the difficulties in life by pretending to be blind, trying to be a bystander of life. 
   ☀Similarly, Nick also looked at the triangular relationship between Gatsby, Tom and Daisy with cold eyes, even though they were apparently friends and relatives. 💢💢💢

   💭 Therefore: They missed many sincere treatments of their friends and kind-hearted people and did not fully realize their obsession.💔💔💔💔💔💔

   💬 Conclusion:  The same indifference and suspicion made Nick and Akash gradually deviate from the life they envisioned, but two people with different life experiences have the same unhappiness.😞😞
