Part 2 Aria (Xinrui) Li

Let us talk about Daisy Buchanan πŸ‘ΈπŸ‘ΈπŸ‘Έ

connect with the American DreamπŸ’ž

Daisy lives in a luxurious😍😍😍house after marriage. Living conditions were more extravagantπŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– than Nick had expected.
Daisy loved moneyπŸ’ΈπŸ’ΈπŸ’Έ and had a clearπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ understanding of the status of womenπŸ‘©πŸ‘©πŸ‘© in society at that time. That's why she let her daughterπŸ‘§πŸ‘§πŸ‘§ be a fool. Daisy is selfish because she wants to have moneyπŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’° and pursue loveπŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“at the same time. Daisy was very beautiful πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’˜and charmingπŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—, which attracted Gatsby to her. She cheatedπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š on Gatsby to have love and money at the same time. However, when she knew the realπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž identity of Gatsby, she immediately ran awayπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ and returned to Tom's embraceπŸ™†πŸ™†πŸ™†.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The American dream shows that everyone wants their own freedomπŸ†“πŸ†“πŸ†“  to be happy, whether it's religion, love🌟🌟🌟, or moneyπŸ€‘πŸ€‘πŸ€‘. It creates a fantastic but unreachable😈😈😈 dream, which lets people too eager to live a perfectπŸ’†πŸ’†πŸ’† life.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
"If he left the room for a minute, she'd look around uneasily, and say: " Where's Tom gone?"(47 Scott) Daisy is infatuated with Tom when they came back. Daisy wanted to let Tom stay with her all the time. She even had her little girl. The appearance of the little girl seems like Daisy and Tom's family is perfcectπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘, and their relationship became better than before. However, all of this is just a false appearance. "Tom's got some woman in New York" ( 17 Scott)
It means that Tom did not pay any attention to his marriage and family. His daughterπŸ‘§πŸ‘§πŸ‘§ did not repair their relationship and did not let Tom care more about Daisy. His action hurt Daisy's
heartπŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’” and make his family complicated. Daisy wants to have moneyπŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’° and get Tom's loyal at the same time. So she cheatedπŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’› on Gatsby to enjoy the loveπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’Œ. But when she noticed the real identity of Gatsby, she chose the returnπŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰ for money. She is
materialistic πŸ€‘πŸ€‘πŸ€‘and only did everything to keep her upper-class status. Daisy pursues happinessπŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ž that money takes the most prominent%%% part in it, and it is superficial. The American dream is easy to break.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------To Daisy, her American Dream is to have money, social identity, and lover's loyal at the same time, which is hard to achieve because the one- Gatsby who loves her is already dead for her crazy actions.
She chose Tom, who has the experience of cheatingπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š others not only because Tom provides
safety🦺🦺🦺 and an excellent social reputation for her but also Gatsby wants too much from her.  They movedπŸ‘«πŸ‘«πŸ‘« to other placesπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ for a new life, and Myrtle diedπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό. The gap😷😷😷 between Tom and Daisy's marriage seems to disappear✋✋✋. But will Tom never find another mistress and always loyal to Daisy? The answer is NO. Cheating is zero or a million timesπŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•. Daisy only can have the money Tom given without getting his faithful, and based on the status of women, and she cannot find another one to marry. Her American Dream is broke.
I think the whole of society πŸ‘πŸ‘¬πŸ‘«should be changed. Because whatever excesses Tom had, there is still one fact that cheating is totally wrongπŸ™…πŸ™…πŸ™… in the marriage, which is rudeπŸ˜–πŸ˜–πŸ˜– and disgusting😀😀😀. I think the upper-classπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ group needs to change their mind. Everyone is at the sameπŸ‘₯πŸ‘₯πŸ‘₯ level. Rich does not mean that you can do whatever you want. Tom represents the upper-class thinking which let society become worse and worseπŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“. Their pride and arrogance destroy the low-incomeπŸ‘·πŸ‘·πŸ‘· family to make the whole country in a mess.
In the religionsome religions which is small😯😯😯
, and people have a
fixedπŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘» influence to them equals the poorπŸ‘΄πŸ‘΄πŸ‘΄ in the Great Gatsby. The poor were looked down πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡upon by the nobility. Because of who they are, they can't be treated fairly. Just like religious people treated unfairly only based on their beliefsπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό.
    Hi!!!!! Aria, I’m Althea,😘😘😘
    I think this is a good blog to help me understand the character named Daisy. 🀩She show the inner world of Daisy, and show the society help to create this character. She also compare Daisy with other characters, like Gatsby and Tom.🀯 This help me know Daisy was a vigour girl before and who or which make her become focus on money and classes. I know Daisy also want to fight with the classes before, so she do a good job about the character analysis. 🀨However, she did not show about her idea about American Dream. She only show the Daisy’s American Dream and I’m not see the connect about her American Dream. She also not show the link with the media example. In addition, she did not show who need to change, she pay more attention on the analysis of the characters and the plots, but the American Dream is more important. Moreover, the blog can have more decorations to make it attract more people. πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—
