Part 2 The lazy American dream in Gatsby

George Wilson | The Great Gatsby Wiki | FandomGeorge B. Wilson is a car mechanic, an incompetent and lazy poor. He lives in the lower class.๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“ He just wanted to make a little more money every day, but he didn't work very hard.๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก He did nothing every day, and he didn't even know that his wife was cheating. He represents the poor who are oppressed by wealthy people, but I think he also represents the daydreamers who do not want to work hard every day but still want to get rich.๐Ÿ’ฉ

ไบ†ไธ่ตท็š„็›–่Œจๆฏ”ๅคซไบบ_่ง†้ข‘ๅœจ็บฟ่ง‚็œ‹- ๅพฎ็Ÿญ่ง†้ข‘็ฝ‘Daisy Buchanan is a beautiful woman but also a lazy, selfish woman. ๐Ÿ˜ˆShe neither loves Tom nor Gatsby. The only person she loves is herself. She chose to marry Tom only because Tom was plentiful and a rich man.๐Ÿ‘ช There was no love between them. Marrying Tom allows her to have what she wants without having to work hard every day. She never cared about her husband even if her husband was derailed. This is because of her laziness. She didn't want to make money through her efforts, but she spent her husband ’s salary with peace of mind.๐Ÿ’ฉ

What they reflect?๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡
The American dream is broken, the so-called American dream is just an excuse people use to laziness.

George B. Wilson is a car repair shop owner and technician. Tom Buchanan and his wife Myrtle Wilson didn't like him, saying he was "too lazy to know that he was still alive." In Chapter 2, we met George while Tom was in his garage, Walked away. Tom and George have some auto-related business, but it is unclear what the deal is. I guess that George is trying to buy Tom's car to resell it, and Tom pretends to consider George's low-price offer,๐Ÿ˜ˆ which George insists because Tom is there to establish a liaison with Myrtle. He is a car repairer, but he does not want to make money by repairing cars for others at all but earns the difference by buying other people's cars and reselling them at a high price, trying to get the same wealth as the rich people without trying. He believes this is the so-called equality between people. He used equality promoted in the American dream as an excuse for his laziness.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is also a person who also confirmed my point of view, and she is Daisy Buchanan. Daisy embodies the decline of female values towards material enjoyment. In love and money, she chose money๐Ÿ’€, married to the vulgar and annoying Tom, and in a monotonous life afterwards, and she was only pursuing material money and timely enjoyment. There was no other ideal. Because she has money, she can do nothing and enjoy an abundant life. Daisy chose this marriage to realize her desire for status and materiality. ๐Ÿ‘นHowever, after this satisfaction was achieved, her soul began to become lonely, empty and dazed. Because there is no true love between her and Tom, money cannot play any role in enriching the spirit. And her husband kept Daisy consistently neglected, which further expanded the loneliness and loneliness deep in her soul. But she did not have the guts to abandon the present wealth and decisively leave the current material life. Because she has been controlled by money, she is addicted to this feeling of gaining nothing. Her sitting enjoyment is a manifestation of laziness, but she still has the wealth she wants to have. The American Dream is just an excuse for lazy people, and a lie to deceive hard-working people.

Who realized the American dream?๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€
Neither of them realized the American Dream. They think they are fulfilling the American dream, but in reality, they are just lazy using the American dream as an excuse. George just wanted to make a fortune, but he didn't work hard. Daisy enjoyed the money and indulgence brought by other people's efforts.Neither of them fulfilled the American dream. They just felt that they were fulfilling the American dream, but in fact they just used the American dream as an excuse for their laziness.

Who need change?๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
They did not realize the American dream, and they need to change. They need to become more industrious, but at the same time, the American Dream also needs to make changes. We should not make the American Dream so easy and so beautiful, or even become the practice of the American Dream step by step.

As Trump said in his speech, only through the joint efforts of all people can the United States be made great and stronger again. It is not that individuals are struggling hard, while the rest are lazy, trying to sit back and enjoy their success. Such an American dream is illusory and unrealistic.
