Part 1—Roy(Huanyi)Sun--American Dream, a cruel & unfair COMPETITION!!!!

WELCOME TO ROY’s BLOGGGGGGπŸ’‚
Some people prefer to take the American Dream just as a beautiful fantasy full of positive energy, which makes people have infinite yearning for it in their heart, while others hold a view that American Dream is like a hoax, which merely is a catalystπŸ’¨ for people’s blind optimism about life. From my perspective, American Dream is equal to an unfair competition😨😨 that the rich had already won. MoneyπŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’° plays a role as stimulant which speed up those rich so that they run faster and faster and get closer to the finish line. By contrast, those poor people will withdraw from the competition and even lose at the starting line, which makes American Dreams even seem to be designed only for the rich πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘. Thus, money can be taken as the ticket🎟 for participating the competition, without wealth, people have to give upπŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ˜ their real dreams.

I still remembered that when I was in junior high school 🏫🏫about twelve years old, I met a friend named Eric in rocket modell
πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€ club. As timeπŸ•°πŸ•° passes by, we went on further communication and became good friends soon. There was plenty of money needed for engaging in this hobby, for which we were required to use high-end raw materials to do numbers of experiments and attend competitions as many as possible to accumulate experience. We also made a deal to take part in a competition named International Rocket Model Contest together, but this time I waited for him until the end of the competition and didn't😧😧 see him. Finally, I learned from my parents that there was a serious gap in his father's corporate capital chain. At that night, I received a letter from him, in which he told me that his father’s company was πŸ’Ήbankrupt πŸ’Ήso that his father was unable to support him to pursue his dreamπŸ’«πŸ’«. At the same time as giving up his dream, he felt sorry that he could not obey his promise and accompany with us to go further😩😩😭. Actually, I am also the competitor in the game, just better than being the loser at the starting line.

The song”God’s Plan”πŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό, sang by Drake in 2018πŸ‘€, demonstrated how winners in the competition of American Dream “sympathy” those “losers”, which was full of ironyπŸ‘ΉπŸ‘Ή. In the MV
of this song, Drake gives moneyπŸ’ΈπŸ’ΈπŸ’Έ to the poor and calls himself God, because he thinks his behavior just like what God should do.  Therefore, in MV, those who received his help became enthusiastic about Drake, which become one of the main reasons of ranking No.1 in billboard for 5 consecutive weeks. At the beginning of the video, there is a sentence that “the budget for this video was $996,631.90” appearing on the screen, which shows off the charity that he has made to the public as an arrogant gesture from a winner. Also, in other words, the cost of the video is about a million dollars, which is equal to several years of the incomeπŸ’΅πŸ’΅ from ordinary families🏑🏑 in the society🏦. The great gap between the poor and the rich presented the cruelty of the competition of American Dream. These two photos from the video form a strong contrast, which shows completely different living conditions of two classes. People in the first photo look dejected and live in a dirty and shabby environment. However, the people in the second one – Drake and his friend in Gucci😐😐 smiled chuffing in the upscale shopping mall. What is ironic is that Drake pretends to show his kindness and warmhearted concern for the poor, but in fact, he is only using those people’s gratitude to him and eager for a betterπŸ‘ life to achieve his own American Dream.

  1. Hanwen’s comment for Roy’s Part 1
    Yooo Roy,
Come and ... see my comment for you hahaha. I have to see your blogger really amazed, it’s awesome! I particularly enjoyed-----
    A) GOOD JOB: “I still remembered that when I was in junior high school about twelve years old”. Your example of your junior high school in China, because I have had similar experiences with you, so I feel the same way. I appreciate the examples you gave in the article. I think you have shown your main idea vividly through the examples. It is a very clever method. Your fine arts skills are also very profound, and you are very unique in color matching and font selection.

    B) PARTS THAT WEREN’T SUCCESSFUL: However, there is no perfect blogger in the world. You have done a very good job in analyzing examples, but it would be better if there were more original texts from the article.

    C) PARTS TO IMPROVE: Strangely, some pictures cannot be displayed on my computer, maybe you need to test them before publish them next time.
