PART 1-- Connor (Xiaohan) Xu -- The American dream freed America from the world.

                              👆👆👆👆👆  Mexico🇲🇽 –United States🇺🇸 barrier

I think the American Dream seems to protect the benefit of America, but makes America more and more out of this world.
"A wall at the border between the US and Mexico would be designed to prevent people from entering the US illegally." Like this picture, the idea of this picture is the United States built a wall on the US-Mexico border to reduce illegal immigrants and drugs from Mexico. This is part of the realization of the American Dream, which protects the benefit of Americans.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    My Ideas:
But I think the wall built also inspired the conflict between America and Mexico. This matter shows that the American Dream is a kind of unilateralism. Although this incident guarantees domestic security, it does not guarantee the security of America. The essence of the American dream is to bring peace to people, but this kind of thing endangers American peace. Isolating America from the world may be a kind of protection, but it will bring more regression. Like the history we learned, the Qing emperor of China believed that his country had the most advanced technology and had all the resources, so he closed the country. But the world is developing very fast, and soon other countries have surpassed China by a lot, then Britain defeated China.

👈👈👈       This is an idealized American dream, the realization of the American dream should not be separated from the world, which may bring short-term economic progress, but it is not long-term. Because increasing estrangement will only lose the trust of other countries, not become stronger! The world now becomes more global 🌎 than before, doing so now will lose trade and technology from other countries. This is the blind arrogance of the American dream.
